PLANTING DAY

7  WEEKS LATER

Another great day setting up a garden in the courtyard of Health Central Park in Winter Garden. FarmDaddy donated 6 boxes for the seniors at this facility. The containers were elevated for ease of reach for planting and harvesting. A special thank you to Judy Skilton, Director of Recreational Therapy & Volunteer services and Mike Buie for their help and assistance in making the day a success!

FarmDaddy joins forces with Air Mobile Ministries

FarmDaddy Air Mobile Ministries

SelfRandy Porter, the creator of the FarmDaddy Self-Watering Garden Container – a revolutionary new gardening product – has joined forces with Joe Hurston of Air Mobile Ministries of Merritt Island, FL – providing impoverished communities in Haiti the ability to self-provide basic food and water needs.  Self-sufficiency is a key to survival in any economic situation, something that Mr. Porter and Mr. Hurston strive to help the people of Haiti master.

Several flights of baby food, diapers, formula, baby clothes, medical supplies, the Air Mobile Rescuer Water Purification System and now the FarmDaddy Gardening System are taken to Haiti on a regular basis.  In fact, Air Mobile Ministries have flown to over 40 countries transporting goods to those in need.  But the real story behind every flight is the people whose lives are uplifted and changed.  Clean water, food, medicines and baby care items are the most in demand for many communities.  It’s been 6 years since the earthquakes hit Haiti in 2010 and still there are vast amounts of people without the basic necessities of life.

“The idea that food comes from a supermarket or a store is a new idea.  People used to take care of themselves, they lived off the land.  Food was in the backyard not on an aisle.  We need to help people return to their roots, so to speak”, stated Randy Porter in a recent interview.  With A FarmDaddy Self-Watering Garden Container and a Rescuer, we can sustain life.  We can provide basic sustenance to those that so desperately need it.  After we’re gone, with basic instruction, this continuing supply of food and clean water can make a real difference in people’s lives.

Air Mobile Ministries and FarmDaddy are seriously committed towards helping communities become self-sufficient; bringing supplies to people in need.  We invite you to get involved in helping with the relief of those in need.

Goldsboro Community Garden Initiative

FarmDaddy Goldsboro Community Garden

FarmDaddy teams up with the Sanford Department of Health to distribute 100 self watering garden containers to the Goldsboro residents of Seminole County. The event took place at the Boys & Girls Club located in the heart of Sanford. Much excitement surrounded the day, bringing together both novice and master gardeners. Five months later, the DOH held the Goldsboro Senior Group Health Food Demo. The residents brought dishes that contained the produce they had grown in their FarmDaddy containers.

Randy was asked to be a tasting judge for the best recipe contest. It was a difficult job but someone had to do it! The collard dishes were out of this world!

Thank you Goldsboro Senior Group for including us in your garden celebration!
